Frequently asked questions
General
Kith Salon is a curated reading and development community for women.
Each month, members receive one carefully selected book, practitioner-written Reading Notes, reflection prompts and access to a thoughtful community discussion. Circle members also join a small monthly facilitated coaching circle.
It is not a traditional book club and it is not a content feed. It is a place for women who want to read with depth, think more clearly and do something meaningful with what they learn.
No.
The book is the shared starting point, but the purpose is development, reflection and real-life application.
We do not gather to discuss plot or perform how well-read we are. We gather to understand ourselves, our relationships and the world more clearly and to bring useful ideas into ordinary life.
No.
You do not need to finish every page to belong here.
The Reading Notes are designed to help you access the key ideas, frameworks and reflection prompts even if life gets full and the book is only half-read.
This is not school. There is no test. You can participate from wherever you are.
No.
Members source the book in whatever way suits them.
You can buy it, borrow it, listen to the audiobook, read it as an ebook or use your local library. Kith Salon does not require you to purchase books through us.
No.
Many Kith Salon members may be mothers, and some of the themes will speak deeply to motherhood, relationships and family life. But Kith Salon is not a parenting community.
It is for women who want to understand themselves more clearly, communicate more honestly, build self-awareness, navigate transitions and live with more intention.
Yes.
Kith Salon was created exclusively and unashamedly for women.
No.
Kith Salon is a reading, reflection and development community. It is not therapy, counselling, mental health treatment or clinical support.
The books and conversations may explore human development, relationships, emotions and behaviour, but they are designed for learning and reflection.
If you need therapeutic, medical or mental health support, please seek help from a qualified professional.
The Book Club gives you the monthly book selection, Reading Notes, reflection prompts, community discussion and archive access.
The Circle includes everything in The Book Club, plus a monthly live facilitated session with a small, consistent group of women using group coaching methodology.
The Circle is for women who want to be in the conversation (the deep conversation), not just read the notes. It is capped at 12 members so the discussion can be honest, practical and well held.
Life happens.
If you miss a Circle session, you still have access to the monthly Reading Notes, prompts, archive and community discussion.
Because The Circle is designed around trust and continuity, regular attendance is encouraged. But this is a space for real women with real lives, so missing a session from time to time is understood.
Yes.
Kith Salon is a monthly membership with no long-term lock-in. You can cancel your membership at any time before your next billing cycle.
Once cancelled, you will retain access until the end of your current paid membership period.
Yes.
In-person salons, events and retreats are part of the longer-term vision for Kith Salon.
These will be designed for members who want to go deeper through live conversation, shared reflection and more immersive development experiences.
Circle members will receive first access when these open.
