Hi, I'm Kellie

Executive Coach, Adult Development Specialist, Positive Psychology Practitioner, Facilitator

For years, people I coached told me that their biggest shifts weren’t confined to work. What we explored together was also changing how they showed up as partners, parents and people.

Then I became a mother and experienced this for myself. The frameworks I had used throughout my career helped me make sense of who I was becoming in the middle of a very full life. They gave me a larger frame through which to reconsider what mattered, how I wanted to spend my time, the work I wanted to do and who I wanted to do it with.

I became more comfortable with ambiguity, more able to let go of what I couldn’t control and more resilient when things didn’t unfold as planned. Motherhood also gave me a deeper appreciation for how much people can be carrying beneath what we see.

It also made a gap I had noticed throughout my career much harder to ignore. I kept seeing women reach moments when this kind of development could have been especially valuable, becoming a parent, changing direction, reconsidering work or trying to understand who they were becoming, just as their access to it narrowed or disappeared. Too often, meaningful development depended on a senior role or a corporate budget, rather than being available to the woman herself.

Kith Salon grew, in part, from my frustration with that gap. I wanted to create a place where women could engage deeply with these ideas and use them to understand themselves, their relationships and what they were navigating in their own lives.

For more than 20 years, I’ve coached leaders, led teams and functions, and designed award-winning development programs for organisations around the world. My work draws on deep expertise in adult development, psychology and organisational development.

Kith Salon brings together what I have learned through that work with what life has taught me beyond it.

Friends Talking Outside

The room I wanted to create for you

I have spent much of my working life in rooms where leaders are thinking together about something that matters, a difficult decision, competing priorities, tension or a challenge they cannot resolve alone.

Over time, I became as interested in the conditions and environments that make this thinking possible, as I was in the process.

The best rooms make it safe to be unfinished. You can think out loud, ask a question before you know the answer, or say, “I’m not quite sure what I think about this yet.” You can see something differently from someone else without either of you needing to defend your position. You can name something difficult, uncertain or still taking shape, and trust that it will be met with curiosity rather than judgement.

There is enough trust to be honest, enough difference to stretch your perspective, and enough attention to hear your own thinking more clearly. That is the room I wanted to create with Kith Salon.

One woman notices something you missed. Another interprets the same idea completely differently. Someone asks the question that makes you reconsider an assumption you did not know you were making. Something you had only vaguely felt acquires language. An idea moves from the page into a relationship, a decision, a conversation.

Kith Salon is deliberately small, facilitated and held with care. Not a room in which women are expected to arrive polished or with answers. A room in which you can arrive as you are, be met by other thoughtful women, and have the space to become more fully yourself.

Because the quality of the room changes the quality of the thinking.
